ANSAB, as a recipient of the Asia Pacific FCPF Capacity Building Project on REDD+ financed by the World Bank, is implementing the Capacity Building Program (CBP) Phase III/FCPF Readiness Fund for the southern civil society (CSOs) and local communities (LCs) in Asia Pacific. This project is being implemented for FCPF countries in Asia Pacific region, which are Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Thailand, Vanuatu and Vietnam. Of these countries, the eligible participating countries for the national capacity building and awareness component are Fiji, Vietnam and Nepal.
The objective of the project is to strengthen the engagement of targeted forest-dependent beneficiaries in REDD+ processes and decision making at the country and regional levels. Specifically, the project will use the following indicators to measure the achievement of the project development objective:
- Increased participation of direct project beneficiaries in formulation and implementation of REDD+ strategies and actions (number, disaggregated by IPs/CSOs and gender)
- Increased participation of direct project beneficiaries in Emission Reduction Programs and Benefit Sharing Programs (number, disaggregated by IPs/CSOs and gender).
- Beneficiaries who feel project investments reflected their needs (percentage, disaggregated by IPs/CSOs/gender) (Core Sector Indicator, Participation and Civic Engagement)
